We have managed to come up with a list of advantages of booking a serviced apartment rather than a hotel room during the COVID era!

The Covid-19 crisis has made everyone realise the importance of hygiene and good health.  The pandemic has not only managed to change the perspective but also the norms pertaining to travel and stay. While some norms may be short lived  some other are here for good. Serviced Apartments in the UK are faring better than the hotels and it would be an understatement to mention that serviced apartments may very well replace the latter. We have managed to come up with a list of advantages of booking a serviced apartment rather than a hotel room during the COVID era!

  1. Social Distancing:

Hotels have a lot of staff to help with the large number of guests coming and going every day. But with the pandemic, this becomes a health hazard for everyone in the hotel.  Serviced Apartments on the other hand, only maintain a skeleton crew of help responding only when they are needed by the guests. Most Serviced Apartments have a self-check-in and check-out system thereby minimising social contact even further. However, there is a help desk that is available for guest 24/7 should they face any trouble with their apartments.

  1. Cleanliness:

Cleanliness and sanitation have become very important for people in the wake of coronavirus. There’s a cleaning service available for the guest however frequently they prefer. They also have an option to clean the room themselves to avoid further contact with people.

  1. Autonomy:

SAs come with a kitchen, a living room, a bedroom and a washroom- essentially a fully furnished flat. It comes with amenities like a washer and dryer- so guests can do laundry whenever they want; a refrigerator- for guests to buy and stock up food; a kitchen- for guests to cook their own food, should they wish to and, sofas, TVs and other smart devices. With such amenities at their disposal, guests can be completely self-sufficient, stepping out only to buy groceries and running a basic household without physical contact with the outside world.

  1. Remote Working:

Most hotels provide Wi-Fi services but they are either for a limited amount of time after which the guests have to pay to use or, they are very slow. Serviced apartments provide free, fast and steady Wi-Fi connection throughout the stay. This makes remote working that much easier and without any interruption. Since there is extra space, guests can set up workspaces to hold meetings.

  1. Cost-effective:

The last and perhaps the most valuable factor is, affordability. Serviced Apartments provide accommodations for guests 30% less expensive than hotels on average. There are no hidden charges for the amenities that are offered. What you see is what you get. Because of this, SAs are preferrable for an extended stay. But they also act as a wonderful holiday accommodation service. Depending on the SA, you can save a lot of money but still end up at a luxury serviced accommodation.
