Does the Vaccine You’ve Taken Qualify?
To qualify under the vaccination rules for travel to the UK, you must have proof of full vaccination.
The proof of vaccination must have been issued by either –
- The UK Vaccination Programme
- The United Nations Vaccine Programme
- An Overseas Vaccination Programme with approved proof for travel to the UK

If You Are Unvaccinated
The current UK rules say that if you aren’t fully vaccinated – and you’re over 18 – you need to –
- take a PCR or lateral flow/antigen test (not a free NHS test) in the two days before you travel to the UK
- take a test on or before day two and on or after day eight after your return.
- self-isolate at home for 10 days after arrival in the UK
Will I need to Quarantine on Arrival in the UK?
You will only have to quarantine if you’ve been in a country on the government’s ‘red list’ in the last 10 days.
The only people allowed to enter the UK from red list countries are UK or Irish nationals, or UK residents, that too with all their documentation intact.
*Please check for travel guidelines from the city you are traveling from and ensure that you are complying with local regulations.
