Reputed as one of the UK’s largest serviced apartment providers, Pluxa Serviced Apartments have been running successful corporate and leisure stays where people have always been able to unwind and take shelter in our spaces as a safe haven.

The safety of our guests and staff is always our top priority and we are monitoring the latest developments within the UK in light of the new covid situations. To address what’s going on we have implemented certain procedures to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all our guests.

With the announcement of mandatory quarantine periods for new arrivals to the UK, many people have to search for their own quarantine accommodations. Here at Pluxa we are committed to providing safe accommodations for all our guests.

Before traveling, you have to educate yourself regarding the travel guidelines that you will need, as laid out by the government’s mandate.

Does the Vaccine You’ve Taken Qualify?

To qualify under the vaccination rules for travel to the UK, you must have proof of full vaccination.

The proof of vaccination must have been issued by either –

  • The UK Vaccination Programme
  • The United Nations Vaccine Programme
  • An Overseas Vaccination Programme with approved proof for travel to the UK

Check which vaccines are approved and the list of countries and territories with approved proof of vaccination.

If you are arriving from overseas and need a safe place to stay in Birmingham for your quarantine, Pluxa Serviced Apartments will take excellent care of you. All apartments offer secure accommodation and support to make your stay as hassle-free as possible.

If you need to make an emergency trip to Birmingham and require somewhere to live out your quarantine alone or with family, we will take good care of you.

Traveling from Overseas

Depending where you’re coming from, check your requirements. The 226 countries and territories have been outlined with specific requirements which tell you if you fulfill all the formalities, you can enjoy your stay in the UK comfortably.

When you arrive in the UK, you’ll need to provide a passenger locator form to border force officers alongside your passport and negative test result.

However if you’ve not been traveling outside the UK in the last 10 days, these places do not mandate it –

  • UK (England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland)
  • Republic of Ireland
  • Channel Islands
  • Isle of Man

Spacious Service Apartments

Serviced apartments make the ideal safe place for avoiding unnecessary travel and contact with others, while providing a warm, comfortable environment for key workers and essential business travellers. Whatever your reason for needing temporary accommodation upon landing in Birmingham, we are here to provide support during these uncertain times.

Personal Safety Measures We Take

  • Any staff members or guest reported as unwell will immediately be self-isolated.
  • All housekeeping and maintenance staff wear the required PPE masks and gloves when in the apartment.
  • Employees have been trained to follow cleanliness and safety procedures that keep our spaces hygienic.
  • All our guests will be updated about the safety measures and requirements at our property.

If You Are Unvaccinated

The current UK rules say that if you aren’t fully vaccinated – and you’re over 18 – you need to –

Will I need to Quarantine on Arrival in the UK?

You will only have to quarantine if you’ve been in a country on the government’s ‘red list’ in the last 10 days.

The only people allowed to enter the UK from red list countries are UK or Irish nationals, or UK residents, that too with all their documentation intact.

*Please check for travel guidelines from the city you are traveling from and ensure that you are complying with local regulations.

Serviced Apartments Vs. Hotels in the Coming Months

Hotel accommodations may prove to be particularly risky during this time considering the large influx of tourists that stay there. Moreover, staying at hotels for extended periods can be quite expensive.

Services apartments in Birmingham provide a host of amenities and are less expensive than hotel rooms.

Pluxa rooms are equipped with high speed wi-fi, chairs and tables which takes care of an ideal WFH set up. Our spacious rooms and amenities ensure that families and individuals can save, as our apartments come with a fully stocked kitchen that will give you the freedom to cook anything you want.

Face masks and gloves are back in vogue now, so follow your safety precautions.

Booster shots are being administered daily all across the UK as well, so top up with your boosters and choose a safe space which will take care of all your needs.
